EDCAT as a charitable incorporated organisation
EDCAT has its origins in the Friends of Sedgefield Harriers a charity established to support the successful Sedgefield Harriers with fund raising and volunteers. FoSH has supported the club over many years while having wider aims from the start of supporting athletics in general in the area including seeking to support and fund an athletics track; and in responding to interest in the track project from outside Sedgefield the trustees of FoSH were more than willing to ensure that the charity reflected the new aims of the project.
EDCAT will ultimately become the charitable organisation responsible for the management and maintenance of the facility over its lifetime and the funding for that will come from beyond Sedgefield.
EDCAT is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Charity number 1154064.
