East Durham Community Athletics Track (post August 2021)

In August 2021 the Friends of Sedgefield Harriers (FoSH) changed the name of the charity to East Durham Community Athletics Track (EDCAT).

“Back the Track”

“Back the Track” was a campaign started by EDCAT back in 2013 when the charity was known as the Friends of Sedgefield Harriers. The purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness of the need for an athletics track in the area.

Please note that the track project started many years ago and the information (e.g. website addresses, phone numbers, costs and even track location) contained in these videos may no longer be current. Please see the website for up to date information. Our goal, however, does remain the same and that is to promote athletics in the Sedgefield area via the provision of facilities for athletics.

This video shows initial plans for the track and the location. Information is no longer up to date.
The initial consultation took place when the plan for the track was for it to be located at Sedgefield Community College.
